MPSC has released the recruitment exam notification for the year 2020 for various Group A & Group B posts ranging from Assistant State Tax Commissioner, Deputy Chief Executive Officer to Naib Tehsildar.

Prelims

Exam Pattern

The Preliminary examination will consist of two compulsory papers of 200 marks each. Both the papers will have objective Type & multiple-choice questions

One-third of the marks assigned for each question will be deducted as penalty for the wrong answers. The merit of the Candidates will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in both the papers of the Preliminary Examination.

Mains

Exam Pattern

The MPSC State Service (Mains) Exam consists of 6 papers. Of these, 2 are language papers and 4 are General Studies papers. Except for Paper 1 of Language that is a descriptive type paper, all other papers have objective type questions. Also, in objective type papers, one-third of marks assigned to the question will be deducted for wrong answers.

Interview

The interview will be conducted for 100 marks. It will relate to the matter of general interest keeping the matter of academic interest in view and for general awareness, intelligence, character, expression power/personality, and general suitability for the service.

The test is intended to judge the mental caliber of a candidate. In broad terms, this is really an assessment of not only the candidate's intellectual qualities but also social traits and his/her interest in current affairs.
